IHURIRO Summer 2025 — Building a Strong Halal Economy Together

This summer, United for Assistance proudly hosted one of its most impactful IHURIRO sessions in Quebec. The event brought together community members of all ages to learn, share, and grow—spiritually and financially.

The central topic of the day was something very close to the heart of every Muslim family:
How to build wealth the Halal way in Canada.

💡 Halal Economy – Manzil Case Study

During the session titled “IHURIRO Events: Halal Economy – Manzil Case Study,” the focus was on the real Halal investment solutions available to Canadian Muslims today.

Our special guest, Dr. Mohamad Sawwaf, the Founder and CEO of Manzil, shared valuable knowledge about:

  • 🏡 Halal mortgages
  • 📈 Halal investment funds
  • 💼 Shariah-compliant financial planning

Manzil is recognized as Canada’s leading Islamic FinTech company, dedicated to providing Muslims with transparent and trustworthy financial solutions.

Dr. Sawwaf helped attendees understand what makes a transaction Halal, how Islamic contracts work, and why ethical finance benefits the whole society—not just Muslims.

🤝 Our United Community, Our Strong Economy

One of the strongest messages from the event was that a powerful Muslim economy starts with unity, awareness, and collective action.

When we:

  • Choose Halal products,
  • support Muslim businesses,
  • invest ethically, and
  • share knowledge with our families,

We are building wealth that benefits current and future generations, all while staying true to our faith.

Attendees asked practical questions about:

  • Buying a first home without RIBA
  • Starting Halal investments with small amounts
  • Understanding Islamic contracts
  • Avoiding common financial mistakes

Many left the event more confident and ready to take steps toward Halal wealth building.
