Zakat Maal
Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam. It purifies our wealth, strengthens our faith, and gives dignity and hope to families in need.
What is Zakat?
Zakat is a compulsory act of worship for every Muslim whose wealth reaches the minimum threshold, known as Nissab. It is not only charity; it is a right that Allah has placed in our wealth for the needy and deprived.
“And those in whose wealth there is a recognized right, for the beggar and the deprived.”
Qur’an 70:24–25

How Zakat Purifies Our Wealth
Zakat reminds us that wealth is a trust from Allah. By giving Zakat, we purify our hearts from greed, purify our wealth from selfish attachment, and help build a stronger and more compassionate community.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“Charity does not decrease wealth.”
Sahih Muslim
