Our Community.\nUnited for Assistance is pleased to invite community members in Winnipeg and surrounding areas to a special community meet-up focused on one important question: \nHow can we work together to build stronger\, more supportive\, and more self-reliant communities here in Canada? \nThis gathering is an opportunity to meet one another\, learn about United for Assistance\, discuss the needs and opportunities within our community\, and help shape the programs we want to develop in Canada. \n📍 Event Details\nVenue: Tablespace196 Osborne St\, Winnipeg\, MB R3L 1Z3 \nTime: 6:00 PM \nWho can attend?Everyone is welcome — youth\, families\, professionals\, students\, newcomers\, community leaders\, entrepreneurs\, seniors\, and anyone interested in giving back to the community. \nWhat will we discuss?\nThis will be an informal and interactive conversation rather than a long presentation. We want to hear your ideas\, your concerns\, and your vision. \nTogether\, we will explore topics including: \n\n🎓 Youth & Education — recognizing achievement\, mentorship\, career development and youth engagement.\n🤝 Community Assistance — creating practical ways to support individuals and families facing difficulties.\n💼 Economic Empowerment — exploring community savings\, entrepreneurship and ethical/halal financial initiatives.\n🍽️ Community & Food Initiatives — using food and gatherings to strengthen relationships and support those in need.\n🙋 Volunteerism — creating opportunities for community members to contribute their skills\, experience and time.\n🌱 United for Assistance in Canada — identifying the programs that should become priorities in Winnipeg and other Canadian communities.\n\nWe Want to Hear From You\nUnited for Assistance believes that sustainable community programs should not simply be created for the community — they should be created with the community. \nThat is why this meeting begins with listening. \nWhat does our community need?What can we build together?What skills and resources do we already have among us?How can you participate? \nYour experience and ideas can help answer these questions. \nBe Part of Building the Winnipeg Team\nThe meet-up will also be an opportunity to identify people interested in helping develop the United for Assistance Winnipeg community network. \nWhether you can contribute your professional expertise\, volunteer a few hours\, mentor a young person\, help organize an activity\, support fundraising\, or simply bring good ideas to the table — there is a place for you. \nTogether\, We Can Make an Impact\nA strong community is built when people know one another\, support one another\, and create opportunities together. \nCome meet your community\, share your ideas\, discover United for Assistance\, and help us determine what comes next. \nBring your ideas.
